The Company Director Disqualification
Act (CDDA) was introduced into law in 1986.
Since that time there has been
an accelerating number of disqualification orders as the law
bedded in and greater resources were granted to the DTI. This
increasing trend might be expected to increase even further
following on from the simplification of the procedure introduced
by the Insolvency Act 2000.
