Most of Purnells business is referred
to the firm by accountants and solicitors practices.
We do not compete with our referrers.
As a consequence Purnells undertake no
recurring tasks such as accounts preparation, audit and taxation.
Some Insolvency Practitioner (IP) firms
have been known to take an insolvency appointment (which was
referred to them by the auditor) and then subsequently the
IP firm acts as auditor to the phoenix company. Purnells do
not do this!
Purnells instead only undertake one-off
work such as:
- insolvency related matters
- turnaround and recovery
- forensic accounting and litigation
support
- expert witness in court
- business valuation
- business disputes
Purnells market positioning is
only to take on such one off work that would produce "added
value" for clients.
